Montreal-born/Toronto based bilingual indie rocker, of Egyptian-Lebanese-French-South African-Mauritian descent, Danielle Duval, is a singer-songwriter, multi-instrumentalist, and music producer devoted to her own brand of melodic indie-rock that draws heavily from the quirky sounds of synth pop and new wave. Duval is set to embark on her first European tour this Fall 2020. She’ll hit the road with long-time friend and bandmate, guitar prodigy Liam Jaeger, for a month of intimate, unplugged performances, in support of the worldwide release of her sophomore album LOSE IT.
LOSE IT is melodic indie-rock juxtaposed with the sounds, textures and addictive drive of electro-synth-pop and new wave music, with lyrics that cut straight to the heart. The album digs deep into the worlds of classic, vintage, analog synthesizers, samplers, and drum machines to explore the vast, dynamic layers, pulse, fast tempos, synth hooks, and catchy energy that new wave music provided in the late 70s to late 80s.
A truly electric and commanding front-woman, Duval has performed at The House of Strombo, various music festivals, and toured with Jason Collett (Broken Social Scene), Royal Wood, Paper Lions, and supported a massive, sold-out National run in over 20 Canadian cities, on certified platinum, Canadian artist, Serena Ryder's “Stompa” tour.
