Daphne and Celeste, comprised of Karen DiConcetto and Celeste Cruz, bounded on to the pop scene in 1999 with their top 10 tune, Ooh Stick You. Singles U.G.L.Y. and School’s Out followed, along with their album, We Didn’t Say That!

Known for their outspoken personalities and chipmunk-pitched voices, the pair also have the distinction of being the first manufactured pop band ever to play the Reading Festival.

In 2015, after over a decade away from the music scene, Daphne and Celeste reunited for a comeback single, written and produced by Max Tundra, entitled You & I Alone. The track revealed their normal (non-chipmunked) voices and was chosen by The Guardian as one of the best songs of the year, a first for a band usually featured on shows like The Most Annoying Pop Songs... We Hate to Love.

Their collaboration with Tundra continued with the singles BB and Alarms, taken from the album Daphne and Celeste Save The World.

You can catch Daphne and Celeste at the Mighty Hoopla this summer 2025!
