From playing the Emirates Old Trafford for The Hundred, performing at Tramlines Festival and having BBC Radio 1 support her latest single ‘Dirty Laundry’, Darla Jade consistently proves she’s not taking her foot off the pedal. 2024 has been an incredible year so far for the Stoke On Trent born electropop artist, having also supported Dizzee Rascal (Stoke On Trent), Natalie Shay (London), as well as performing at Camden Cox & Friends (London).
2023 was also an exceptional year for Darla, performing at Maida Vale for BBC Introducing, performing a headline show at The Waiting Room & having her music being played on Love Island and The Only Way Is Essex. Her single ‘Backseat Driver’ was championed across BBC Radio 1’s Future Pop with Mollie King, as well as Spotify’s ‘New Music Friday UK’, ‘New Pop Revolution’ and ‘Fresh Finds Pop’ playlists.
Other highlights include BBC Radio 1 naming Darla’s single ‘Stories On The TV’ as BBC Introducing Track Of The Week, performing at Live Nation’s In Source showcase & 110 Above Festival. Darla also won the Amazon ‘Breakthrough Booth’ competition at The Great Escape 2022 and recorded live versions of her singles at Metropolis Studios at the start of 2023.
Other artists are taking notice of Darla’s writing style, and in addition to working on her own material, she is writing for others too, gaining cuts with artists such as Kaskade (On My Way), Gorgon City (Burning) and Blond:ISH & Nico De Andrea (Hold Tight) to name a few.
