A Filipino pop singer with smooth romantic styles, Daryl Ong rose to national fame in 2014 after appearing on the second season of the talent contest, The Voice of the Philippines. He sealed his star status with the 2016 hit "Stay," which was the theme song to a popular Filipino television drama called On the Wings of Love.

Born in the city of Puerto Princesa, Ong nurtured his singing talent from a young age and sang in local pop groups, entering singing contests like Pinoy Pop Superstar and Pinoy Idol in 2005 and 2009. He became a member of the boy band Voices of 5, who released an album in 2013 containing several of Ong's original songs. During this time, he also worked as an animator on the popular television show Super Inggo, while maintaining his YouTube presence as a singer and songwriter.

Ong's first major success as a musician came in 2014 when he rose to the semi-finalist status on season two of The Voice of the Philippines. His self-titled debut solo album was released the following year. Ong landed a major hit in 2016 with the romantic ballad "Stay," which was used as the theme song to the popular teleserye, On the Wings of Love. He released his second album, Minus One, the same year and over the next two years, found additional success with singles like "Darna, Ikaw Na" and "Mahal Parin Kita." ~ Timothy Monger
