Dave Del Monte and The Cross County Boys are from the United States (Connecticut), and were formed back in 2004. Dave began playing guitar at age 12, formed his first band at 14, and is self-taught on guitar and upright bass. Influences such as Elvis Presley, Buddy Holly, Charlie Feathers, Gene Vincent, Link Wray, Dick Dale and all the great doo wop music he’s heard over the years are very present in their music. In addition to rockabilly, Dave and the Cross County Boys also love playing instrumentals, surf, and old country music!! They have released two full length CDs, Follically Impaired (2005) and Cross The Line (2008) and appeared on the “Rockabilly Burnout Vol 1” for the Rockabilly Hall of Fame in 2012. They love to put a rockabilly spin on doo wop songs, and did this on 2008’s Cross The Line with “Two Hearts, Two Kisses”, “Bim Bam Boom”, “People Are Talking”, “Nag” and others! Now in 2019, Dave and the boys have been busy recording new material. “I Got A Lot On My Mind”, written by Charlie Cap, was released in June 2019, “Rag Roof Roadster” (a cover of the Jim Foster car classic) was released in September 2019. A holiday EP, “Cool Yule Boogie” was released in November! “Bald Headed Daddy” was released in January 2020. “Hunker In My Bunker” was released in March 2020. "Hubba Hubba Ding Ding" will be released in May 2020. All are available on Spotify, Apple Music, ITunes, Google Play, and Amazon. More great music is being planned for 2020 - stay tuned!!
