Julian Curelop, who writes & records as Dave & I, has been playing the bass since early childhood. He spent most of his time between ages 9 and 20 in various orchestral programs, jazz bands, choirs, and musical theater both in and outside of school. When Julian was 26 he joined americana artist Sam Slick’s band with whom he still performs live. Julian released his first original music in 2020 for his dream pop duo project For Sure which garnered thousands of streams on Spotify, as well as positive reviews amongst indie music blogs Rawckus, JanglePopHub, and MixItUp.. Dave & I is Julian’s debut solo project. Its influences are eclectic and include classic artists such as Carpenters, Cars, ELO, as well as newer players like Men I Trust, Bat For Lashes, and Alvvays.
