David Dyson (born 3 April 1965) is an American bassist, songwriter, arranger, and producer. Throughout his career he has performed and recorded with an array of artists including being musical director/bassist for New Kids on the Block(touring the world for almost 3.5 years straight) as well as bassist for the likes of Meshell Ndegeocello, Lalah Hathaway, Pieces of a Dream, George Duke, Tim Hagans, Marcus Johnson, Jonathan Butler, Najee, Candy Dulfer, Rick Braun, Gerald Albright, Norman Brown, Bobby Lyle, Peter White, Walter Beasley, Steve Coleman & 5 Elements, Chuck Brown and Michael Franks.
Grammy nomination as bassist/composer for/with Tim Hagans "Animation/Imagination " in 1999 and with Hagans/Belden band "Re-Animation "(2000) both for "Best Contemporary Jazz Album"
Produced 3 solo cds as an artist/composer- "Soulmates"(2000), "The Dawning"(2004), and "Unleashed"(2008)
With Unit 3 Deep as a co-producer and composer "Groove Theory" (2017)
