David Martel

In 2008, David Martel exploded onto Montreal's music scene with the release of his first and critically acclaimed record, Hardly Knew Me.He followed up with tours across North America and France, hitting up and leaving his mark at major industry festivals; such as SXSW (USA), NXNE (Canada), and MIDEM (France). In 2009 he toured with Mother Mother, and opened for Adele in front of a sold-out audience at Toronto's Massey Hall. In the summer of 2011, he released a self-produced EP You've Heard the Best, Now Try the Rest... In 2012, he spends most of the year in pre-production for his next full-length album which he just finished recording at Break Glass Studios with producer and Besnard Lakes frontman, Jace Lasek (Land of Talk, Suuns). "Versus Us" Was released in 2013, after which David relocated to Melbourne Australia. His newest project 'The Martel Corporation' has been active since 2014, performing throughout Melbourne.. The follow-up LP "The Hopelessness of Having Everything" was released in September 2019 on Spotify as a Deluxe version featuring the brand new song "This Town." For your ears...
