Dave Metayer is a songwriter, producer and artist with a captivating story to tell. His mother a rape victim, decided to not have an abortion and decided to raise her son a product of an unfortunate and violent act.
He grew up in Brooklyn, NY with his adoptive father and biological uncle who was the Senior Pastor of a Haitian American church where he taught himself how to play the piano, drums, bass and 6 string guitar.
While in High School his talents were used on major recording artists records on the hush in order to appease his very strict religious household for no credit.
He has since released a creole project with his musical partner Supa Produca which has garnered critical acclaim in the world music genre. The compilation was produced in honor of his mother and uncle who were natives of the creole speaking country of Haiti.
Dave has gone on tour for years with the live band and ensemble known as “One Accord”. Dave has even released songs within the gospel genre with this group of young energetic talents which have been consistently covered by some of the major gospel artists in the world. With so much potential And a cult like energetic following, Dave continues to record music with fans looking forward to him releasing a full project for the first time in a decade.
