From Doncaster England but now residing in Nice , David has An elegantly bluesy voice, wonderfully poetic lyrics, a graceful, finger-picking guitar folk music, and yet the power and simplicity of pop songs. These are the main qualities which make this songwriter a rare jewel indeed, and essential listening in the years to come.
The story goes that it was in the streets of Nice where David is now based that he met Medi, a singer songwriter newly arrived back in his home town in order to tap into the wealth of talent on the local scene. Medi immediately offered to produce him and signed him on his label Dime On Records leading to the eagerly anticipated Album SOUL & BONES released in 2015 and including the hit singles "Oh My" “Settle Down” and "Palmer Street".
For a few years David has been touring and doing some pretty impressive shows supporting artists including Marina Kaye, Madeleine Peyroux, The Hives, The Stranglers, Aurora, Rose & Charlie Winston .
He has written songs with artists such as Medi , Marjorie Martinez , Soul Stones , Lea Lu & Charlie Winston for their own releases .
January 26th of 2018 "Soul & Bones" was released on Dime On Records / Universal Music & has amassed over 4 million streams worldwide . It includes 11 tracks produced by Medi , engineered and mixed by Nicolas Quere (Artic Monkeys, Mariane Faithfull, The Barr Brothers ...)
