June Milo’s new pop-folk creation “Secret Whispers” mixes her captivatingly crystal-clear voice with an unfamiliar hint of sadness. It will have taken the Franco-Swiss artist 8 years to free herself from the terrifying experience of having witnessed the unspeakable events of November 13, 2015 in Paris through her music. In these dark ballads, with distant echoes of a Beth Gibbons-style Bristol sound, June’s new EP resembles an unusual pagan procession with touches of honky tonk piano, trumpet and guitar seeming to edge forwards breaking into therapeutic light.

June Milo dévoile un nouvel EP « secret », des Faces B inédites. Ces chansons étaient destinées à être la suite de son premier EP « Whisper ». Mais l’envie d’écrire en français a laissé place à d’autres chansons (EP « Avril » en 2019 puis « Parfaite » en mars 2023)
Elle livre aujourd’hui un nouvel écrin pop-folk où déposer sa voix claire et envoûtante, bien qu'ici nimbée d'un inhabituel glacis de tristesse. Et pour cause : témoin de l'indicible 13 novembre 2015 à Paris, l'artiste franco-suisse aura attendu 8 ans pour s'en libérer par la musique. Il en résulte des balades ténébreuses, aux lointains échos bristoliens à la Beth Gibbons ; sorte de procession païenne où piano bastringue, trompette et guitare semblent se frayer une chancelante percée vers des lumières thérapeutiques.
