Coming out of the first round of the Norwegian Idol back in 2003, David released his pop - rocky debut album "Wild At Heart", claiming the top spot in the Norwegian album chart (VG Lista) in it's release week.
The album featured the hit singles "Wild at heart" (peaked at #1 and stayed there for 13 consecutive weeks) and "What the Hell" (peaked at #4). The album was written and produced by the legendary producers Espen Lind and Amund Bjørklund, as well as being co - written and - produced by Mikkel Eriksen (Stargate) and David himself.
On the backend of the album release, David got to tour Norway, selling out venues across the country. He later on went back to the studio with his touring band with a clean slate, and recorded new tracks under the band Carnival. Carnival dropped the single "For Your Eyes Only" in 2005 that gained some traction in Norway, but unfortunately the band later on went their separate ways and ended their short lived band adventure as best friends.
