Singer/songwriter D.B. Ricapito combines relatable lyrics with production that smoothly blends pop and R&B on releases such as 2020's I Can't Explain It EP.
A native of Ashburn, Virginia, Ricapito taught himself how to play guitar at age 12. After encountering viral success on the live performance app YouNow, he spent some time in the group Beatline Boys before striking out on his own. He debuted as a solo recording artist with 2018's "California King" and signed with the Sony-affiliated Siri Music Group a short time later. His 2019 single "Lonely" was his first release for the label, followed by 2020's "So Crazy" and "Picture." Those songs also appeared on Ricapito's debut EP, I Can't Explain It. Arriving in December 2020, the set included "Good Things Don't Last," a duet with Erin Kirby. Ricapito returned in March 2021 with covers of Drake's "Passionfruit" and Frank Ocean's "Thinkin Bout You." - Rovi
