A model and pop singer with an intimate, brooding bent, Sonia had a streaming hit with her first release, "Joyride." It was boosted by her appearance as the face of a 2019 line by fashion designer Alain Mikli.
The daughter of film producer Tarak Ben Ammar and actress Beata Ben Ammar, Sonia was born and raised in France, where she attended the American School of Paris. She enrolled at the University of Southern California in 2017. Before making her recording debut, she found high-profile work as a model, walking runways for the likes of Chanel and Miu Miu. The launching of her music career coincided with her appearance as star of Alain Mikli’s fall 2019 collection; he used her yearning debut track, "Joyride," as its soundtrack.
