Dead Messenger are a Power Pop band from Montreal Canada often compared to The Replacements, Husker Du, Dinosaur JR and the Foo Fighters. With a penchant for combining high energy riffs with quick witted, dark humored lyrics, Dead Messenger have gained a reputation for their frenetic high energy live shows.
The band has shared the stage with acts like Half Moon Run, Dutches Says, We Are Monroe, Danko Jones, The Dirty Nil, Hollerado and Xavier Caféine. Dead Messenger's music has been featured on hit TV shows like "This Life" on CBC television in Canada, the Amy Poehler produced "Difficult People" on HULU, and most recently in the critically acclaimed French language feature film "Chien De Guard".
Dead Messenger are set to release a collection of singles recorded and produced in Toronto by Canadian rock legend Ian Blurton (Weakerthans, Amy Milan, Tricky Woo). Recorded live off the floor the songs see the band return to form with fast paced, hard hitting riffs the band has gained a reputation for.
