Los Angeles based electronic music producer and songwriter Makayla Meador creates contemplative, quirky, indie electronica tracks under the alias Dear Evergreen.
Born and raised in the Pacific Northwest, Meador cut her teeth sharing the stage with acts such as Dillon Francis, Illenium, and Cashmere Cat at various venues including the Crystal Ballroom in Portland, and Q Nightclub in Seattle. After graduating from Icon Collective College of Music in 2019, Meador rebranded to Dear Evergreen, and in 2020 independently released her debut EP Superbloom, followed by her sophomore EP Temporary the next year. Soon after she was featured in DJ Mag’s “12 Emerging Artists” for the month of March, and was invited to participate in three episodes of Jubilee Media’s music collaboration competition, Songlab. With multiple collaborations, singles, and a debut album on the horizon, the future is looking bright for Dear Evergreen.
