Vaance is the recording alias of Eli Catania, an LA-based producer/DJ who is making waves in the dance music genre. Eli grew up with a passion for music in rural Ohio, playing in several bands throughout his middle school and high school career, but truly found his passion when he discovered music production. Raised on pop punk and molded by dance, he's used the dichotomy of sounds to fuel his music.
Born and raised in Athens, Ohio, Eli found his love for live music through years of musical theater and Battle of the Bands. In 2011, he discovered DAWs and began fusing his love for live performing into his production. His music is meant to encapsulate that feeling he had as he first stepped foot on a stage as a young teenager. Using the inspirations from then and fusing them with modern day influences give his music that feeling of nostalgia meant to take you back to your first realization of passion. After years of contemplation and finally leaving his career as nurse, Vaance independently released his debut single "Nostalgia" which has led to multiple bookings such as Ohio's famed Breakaway Music Festival, Numbers Fest, and many more. Now based in LA, Eli is just getting started as he prepares a new wave of music that speaks from his roots while still providing a fresh take on modern day dance music.
