Back in 2016, Death by Chocolate worked with four-time Grammy-winning producer <a href="spotify:playlist:2eFssqoA3h4k2SzXLAsSws" data-name="Vance Powell">Vance Powell</a> (known for collaborations with <a href="spotify:artist:4FZ3j1oH43e7cukCALsCwf" data-name="Jack White">Jack White</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:4AZab8zo2nTYd7ORDmQu0V" data-name="The Dead Weather">The Dead Weather</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4YLtscXsxbVgi031ovDDdh" data-name="Chris Stapleton">Chris Stapleton</a>) to create their third album, <a href="spotify:album:048AleOCGHmcoLgbGEkcUV" data-name="Crooked for You">Crooked for You</a> (2017). It all started with the song <a href="spotify:album:6UCB5HG3wKCi2Cn1RtWEDJ" data-name="Animal Keeper">Animal Keeper</a>, recorded in Powell’s Nashville studio. The city’s creative pulse inspired singer and guitarist Mathias Schenk (aka <a href="spotify:artist:65yFRCYopHnHHyZxbz1sJg" data-name="Matchenko">Matchenko</a>) to pen the eleven tracks that would become <a href="spotify:album:048AleOCGHmcoLgbGEkcUV" data-name="Crooked for You">Crooked for You</a>, recorded in the legendary ICP Studios in Brussels—a place soul legend <a href="spotify:artist:4nts0oxMT67lVUoi5Kjxrb" data-name="Solomon Burke">Solomon Burke</a> once called &#34;the kingdom of sound and soul!&#34;
