Death Has Spoken emerged from the shadows of Poland's metal underground in early 2017. Formed in Białystok as a one-off studio project, the band quickly transformed into a full-fledged entity following the recording—and warm reception—of their debut album, 'Fade' (2017). Drawing inspiration from the genre’s early pioneers, DHS blends melancholic melodies with crushing heaviness, echoing the despair and darkness that have come to define their musical identity.
In 2020, Death Has Spoken released single 'Downfall' as part of the split EP 'Unyielding', collaborating with other artists in the Polish doom metal scene.
With 2021's second full-length, 'Call of the Abyss', the band stepped further into the gloom—deepening their exploration of existential dread. The album, rooted in the atmospheric depths of '90s doom/death and the second wave of black metal, paid homage to Lovecraftian visions of madness and mystery.
In 2022, DHS paid tribute to one of their most significant influences, Katatonia, by releasing a cover of the iconic track 'Brave'. The following year, 2023, they ventured into new sonic territories with the synthwave-infused split EP 'Doomed To Gloom (Synthwave Version)', expanding their musical horizons while retaining their signature melancholic essence.
