Hailing from Wicklow, Ireland, DECADANCE’s dissatisfaction with the monotony of rural Ireland was alleviated through experiencing central Europe’s illustrious rave scene whilst living in the Netherlands.
Now permanently based in Amsterdam, his productions aim to subvert the structure and drum programming of hardgroove into a darker, more industrial interpretation. Heavy, thumping kick drums are a signature of his sound, whilst reverb laced percussion and distorted atmospheres contribute to the driving groove, designed with peak time warehouse moments in mind.
His style of mixing is chaotic, aggressive & inspired by the old school tradition of transitioning tracks quickly whilst throttling the faders in the process. 2023 has signified a breakthrough year for the Irish artist, as he has broadcasted his interpretation of techno across the Netherlands, France, Estonia, Denmark and Spain as well as a peak time slot at Ireland’s Life Festival.
Beyond consistent track support from techno heavyweights Dax J, SPFDJ & Kobosil, DECADANCE’s inaugural vinyl release “Atelier Groove” was released via the infamous Parisian label Molekül.
