Decennium was founded in times of the short-lived hippie subculture era.
During that period the band played a mix of American west coast rock and British folk rock before changing into playing their own songmaterial.
Decennium stole the spotlights at a pop festival in Paradiso Amsterdam.
It turned out to be a breakthrough to national fame for these young musicians.
Numerous performances followed, as well as live radio and TV specials.
However, Decennium has never been a 'career' band, they followed their own path in the alternative rock world and developed their own recognizable sound.
To this very day the band is musically active with performances, sessions and studio work.
But let's not lose sight of reality... over the years the band had to say goodbye to a number of fellow-musicians for good.
But the (hopefully distant) future of Decennium is in save hands with guitarist Niels Koster.
This youngster is a valued member of the band and a well-known producer and sound engineer.
Niels runs his own music production agency and
