DECO PILOT was originally formed in Liverpool by Mexican-born brothers, Jose and Juan Lopez Portillo, after meeting a group of young and musically-inclined friends students at LIPA a school generously funded by Beatles’ legend Paul McCartney
Influenced by the age of the machine and using the innovations of the times for their forms, Deco Pilot takes a turn towards aerodynamically more electronic lines with its New album Fishing in Mirrors ( releasing 2019).
The band has managed to present themselves independently in iconic venues such as The Garage, Barfly, Dingwalls, Proud Camden and Notinghill Arts in the UK as well as festivals such as the BROWNSTOCK Festival (Essex, UK), PARTY IN THE CITY Festival (Bath, UK ), MERCE 2015 (BARCELONA, ES) and CRUILLA 2017 (BARCELONA, ES),.The band has managed to share stages with important groups of the international and local scene such as The Milk, The Future Heads, The Boxer Rebellion, LA, Macaco, Jamiroquai , Two Door Cinema Club and Pet Shop Boys.
