Hi! I'm Deep Ändi and I'm an electronic music artist from the small and beautiful German city of Jena.
Making music for me means searching for a deep connection between my feelings and auditory stimuli. During this process I often find that feelings on one side and sound on the other side are interdependent. This assumption influences the way I think about the transformation of sound into music. There is no music without emotions. And: changing one variable in this formula always affects the other.
Having never had any musical training, my personal way of expressing myself creatively is through sound design. I love spending hours shaping a particular sound, layering and painting it until it tells its own story that fits into the plot of my song. Right now I'm diving into the deep ocean of modular synthesis, which allows me to spend even more time in my studio and ignore my friends' messages and calls (I'm really sorry about that).
