Deep as Ocean formed in 2016 in the Milan area, with the aim of combining modern metalcore elements and introspective songwriting. Their sound merges heavy riffing, melodic hooks, and a strong focus on production.
Following their debut EP Lost Hopes | Broken Mirrors, in 2019 the band released their first full-length Crossing Parallels, featuring the tracks Black Rose and Hourglass, the latter including a guest appearance by the vocalist of Novelists. The album led to intense live activity and shows alongside international acts such as "Escape The Fate", "Crystal Lake", "Bloodyouth", and "Ghost Iris".
In 2022 they released the EP "Chronicles", introduced by the single "Second Circle", exploring electronic influences and cinematic atmospheres.
Late 2024 marks the release of the band’s second album, "Dance With Death" , anticipated by the single "Dark Place". The record deals with themes of personal change, loss, and transformation, maintaining a balance between aggression and melody.
Among the most notable live appearances, in 2025 Deep as Ocean will take part in the Summerside festival, opening for "Dream Theater", "Airbourne" and "Within Temptation".
Today, the band continues its evolution, aiming for steady growth within the contemporary metal scene.
