The UK’s wildest export in the electronicore scene, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship blend heavy riffs, brutal breakdowns, and infectious EDM hooks into a genre-defying assault on the senses. Born in the heart of Leicestershire in late 2013, the band quickly ditched the small-town life and hit the road hard. With their relentless touring ethic, CBJS have played across Europe, Russia, the Philippines, rarely staying still for long.
With two EPs and two full-length albums under their belt — “The Heartless” (2019, Bleeding Nose Records) and “Sentiments” (2022, AFM Records) – and with metal heavyweights like Fronz (Attila), James Harrison (Oceans Ate Alaska), and Richard Sjunnesson (The Unguided) lending their vocal talents to a number of tracks, CBJS further cemented their position in the international heavy scene as ones to pay attention to.
Fast forward to 2025, with time and attention turned to writing and producing new music. Their first single in 3 years is “Chemicals”, due for release on the 12th November. Co-written, mixed and mastered by long term friend and producer Ben Gaines, the song both maintains that distinctive CBJS sound as well as nods to modern metal artists like Bad Omens and Spiritbox.
Cabin Boy Jumped Ship are back! And ready to enter a bold new era. Armed with high-octane live shows, genre-fluid songwriting, and a fiercely loyal fanbase, Cabin Boy Jumped Ship are primed to make their biggest impact yet.
