Hull native and member of the ‘Lockdown’ Collective, British Artist and Producer Deezkid has been making moves within music from an early age.
Over the years he has honed his craft as a producer, drawing inspiration from an eclectic mix of artists such as Dr. Dre, Kanye West, Eminem, Wiley, The Streets, Dizzee Rascal, The Mitchell Brothers, Kano, The Stone Roses, Oasis, Happy Mondays and more. Deezkid’s signature style knows no bounds, mashing up genres such as Rap, Garage, Grime, UK Funky, Trap to create his own unique sound.
Deezkid has racked up a string of impressive accolades throughout his career, including radio play of ‘Darcy’ by The Streets’ Mike Skinner on Radio 1 with Annie Mac, and regular radio play from former BBC Radio 1 host and producer Toddla T. He has also secured multiple press features including The Guardian, i-D, BBC Newsbeat, The Quietus, The Daily ExPress, Mixtape Madness, GRM Daily and RWD mag.
Performing his music on some of the UK’s most prestigious platforms is something that Deezkid is no stranger to - he has graced the stage at BBC Radio 1’s Big Weekender, shelled down a set at the legendary Sir Spyro’s ‘Grime on Tour’ show, as well as supporting Stormzy, Jaykae, Novelist, Mo Stack and Akala.
