The Deluxtone Rockets formed in Michigan in 1996 as a punk band, but quickly switched their style to coincide with the swing and rockabilly revivals then in vogue. The original lineup featured vocalist/guitarist John Brown (aka Johnny "The Ace" Rocketti), upright bassist Jimmy "Dicey" Van Boxel, and drummer Jason "J.J."
