DEMI is a Manila-based R&B artist emerging as a defining voice in the new wave of OPM and female-driven R&B in the Philippine music scene. Behind several breakout hits, she is responsible for the chart-defining songs “Homebdy,” “Pakundangan,” and “Di Ko Kasalanan”—records rooted in her lived experiences and reflective of modern Filipina culture, where romance, humor, vulnerability, and heartbreak collide.

Her rise was sparked by the SoundCloud-born phenomenon “Homebdy,” a track that didn’t just garner over 190 million streams—it became a cultural touchstone, helping propel the rise of female-led Tagalog R&B infused with rap. This momentum earned her the title of Spotify EQUAL Artist of the Year (2023) and more than 2 million monthly listeners. The breakout continued with “Pakundangan,” which has surpassed 114 million streams on Spotify and continues to resonate across platforms.

Known for her intimate storytelling and lush, soul-driven production, DEMI crafts songs that explore love, longing, and emotional complexity with striking honesty. Blending global R&B sensibilities with deeply personal narratives, she draws inspiration from both international and local artists—an influence that has shaped her imaginative songwriting and distinctive sound. Growing up, she didn’t just listen to melodies; she studied the imagery and emotional architecture behind great songwriting, allowing her music to invite listeners to find their own meaning within each song.
