Martin Denise Elessa a.k.a. Denise Dimé - Dehane Cameroon.
When I was 3 years old, I left Africa and I came to Italy.
I love music, it is in my heart not only for the musical tradition of Africa but also because I believe that music can give a great energy and create a strong feeling with people who listen to it.
These are the features of an art among the most expressive, and you can enjoy of it without being a specialist .
I ever sang: when I was a child as a joke, when I was adolescent I studied music at school and now I continue at the Conservatoires because I love Music and I decided that my passion will be my profession. Singing is my life.
Important works:
- November 16, 2019 Denise receives the Prize in the Honorem Music section during the "Awards Night" of the Diaspora Award Italy 2019
- Voice of the 39th edition of the African Film Festival. Denise has composed together with Stefano Freddi the theme that will accompany the screenings of the films of the African Film Festival 2019 every evening.
Thanks to the precious teamwork with Cheryl Porter, famous American
singer, I had the opportunity of singing in different concerts:
- Show and concert during the International Première of "The Lion King" of July 2019 in Milan at the Palazzo Anteo Cinema, available in cinemas from 21 August 2019.
- Christmas Concert on December 16 2017 in the Vatican Hall Paul IV (Live TV Mediaset channel 5 of 24 December 2017), in the presence of Pope Francis (Jorge Mario Bergoglio)
