Born and raised in Atlantis, Western Cape. Denzel The Artist gained significance after releasing his single “King of ATL” released from his EP titled “TRUST FUND BABY” on 17 December 2021.
Denzel The Artist acknowledges his elder brother’s addiction and the challenges his family encountered, namely the death of his father in 2018, as the reason he chose the style of rap but also the reason why his music has pivoted in the direction that it has. Not forgetting his 3 kids and wife, whom he has been with since high school.
His interest in music began at the age of 13, where he wrote his first track. After finishing school, he pursued other ventures but music always seemed to be calling him.
In 2021, Denzel The Artist entered into a music competition named #MarshallMade, Denzel The Artist came out victorious, due to his immeasurable talent.
Marshall Media Production entered into a collaboration with Denzel The Artist to produce and release the EP titled - TRUST FUND BABY.
