DerrD is a disparate rising artist, producer, and engineer from Southern Maryland. Born and raised in the DMV, with roots in Louisiana, sparked the love for music early on. DC, home of go-go, introduced him to live instruments and live music as his family on his dad side is from the 202.
His mom side of the family birthed his appreciation for sounds of the south. Although, original sound of the DMV running through him, majority of his favorite rappers growing up were from “the boot”. In 2016, FL studio was introduced to him. Making beats for a short period of time, but eventually stalled out to pursue other life opportunities. 2020, as it did for most, changed everything for him. Decided to commit fully to music and began making beats going all in this time around. DerrD put his work out, but no one was willing to give it a chance.
