Memphis has long been known as the home of blues and a music epicenter within the United States. The city has recently produced some bigger names in the world of hip-hop, but Djizzll is working on the "new soul music" of this generation. Bold and brash dreams for the artist, a twelfth birthday gift from his mother of a keyboard began him on his musical journey. Now a seasoned veteran within the Tennessee scene, it’s hard to believe that that teenager in high school just beginning to write raps in his notebook would turn into one of the movers and shakers in the city. As he gradually learned FL Studio and became an all around producer and engineer in addition to his songwriting ability, Djizzll was inspired by the likes of Project Pat and other Memphis legends to be a force in the music industry. More recently known as Grind City, he took that nickname and was a prime example of it, spending hours upon hours learning each step of the song making process. Building an impressive career with an equally impressive sound, his crisp vocal delivery accentuates his down-to-earth persona and street stories. It’s these personal lyrics that really sell his music better than any label marketing or viral TikTok trend ever could. Eventually, Djizzll would form Out Da Frame Entertainment, his own personal label and team to push the Memphis scene to the next level.
