DFRA

Diego Ruiz a.k.a DFRA is a DJ and music producer, of Colombian nationality based in Buenos Aires Argentina, more than 10 years ago.
He studied Music and Composition at the UCA (Universidad Católica Argentina), where he could learn classical and modern compositional genres.
From an early age he acquired a taste for Hip Hop of the 80’s and 90’s, gospel music, Soul, R&B and Disco music.
He currently fuses Jazz, Soul, Neo Soul and Funk with House and is characterized by a strong influence of House and Detroit sounds of the 1990s and 2000s.
In his productions two facets are reflected, on the one hand the musicality of Jazz and Soul, fused with electronic elements and on the other hand some sounds more focused on the characteristic chords of Detroit and Chicago, more aggressive bass lines and 100% electronic percussion.
During his career he has had the possibility of playing in several cities in Colombia, Argentina, Germany, France and Spain. He also on labels such as Groovin (IT), Hudd Traxx (UK), Mate (ES) among others.
Today he is the owner of Silver Walker, a label whose music is inspired by all his musical roots and where he embodies the beautiful fusion of Jazz with electronic music.
The project he is currently developing is DFRA Experience Jazz Band, where he works with great musicians from the Argentine scene.
