”Who is this Dick?”
Well, it’s a complex story. So I made an album about it. And a book.
I’ve had a rough couple of years. But instead of whining about my situation in terms of who to blame for my mental health issues, substance abuse and poor judgement; I began to write a diary. A diary that somehow evolved into rock n’
roll songs. All about me.
So, freshly out of an institution for the feeble minded and with a little help from myself and some loose acquaintances, I broke into a studio in Sweden and pressed the record button. It turned out just how you would expect. And by that I mean it sounded like shit. By the time I didn’t really care and I honestly don’t recall my following action, as I sent a cassette to some random label.
Anyway, some time later on, Accelerator Records tracked me down. Wanting to release my songs. Apparently, I made a whole album.
Since there now was huge amounts of potential money and limitless fame involved, I was forgiven the forced entry and the disgorged fluids in the grand piano and was invited back to the studio to re-mix what has become an album
with no less qualities than a timeless masterpiece.
I repeat; a masterpiece. And it’s all about me. Oh, and I wrote a book to explain it all. Go find it.
