Dioganhdih (Akwesasne-Mohawk) is a two-spirit indigenous hip-hop artist, public speaker and beat producer making waves in space where cis+heteronormative culture often remains unchallenged. Shouldering the strength and resilience of their Kanien'kehá:ka and Tsa’la’gi lineage, Dioganhdih’s vocal and hip-hop performance is a poetic and lyrical affront to colonialism. Dioganhdih’s vision is reflective of their Haudenosaunee ancestors' inherent honoring of the Earth, deep commitment to intertribal relations, civic art and cultural preservation.
Dioganhdih’s has presented work and performed at Yale, California College of the Arts, Stanford, Duke, George Mason, Brown, Columbia University. Dioganhdih has performed internationally at SolCollective in Sacramento, Club Gretchen in Berlin, Asinabka Film & Media Festival in Ottawa, Women's Audio Mission in San Francisco, House of Vans in Brooklyn, the SoundCloud Summer Party in Berlin, Pride Toronto, The Art House in New Orleans, on the frontlines at Oceti Sakowin Standing Rock, in countless DJ booths, stoops, bodegas, rooftops and park benches.
