DJ CHEAPSHOT:
Tying snares and kicks to blockbuster hits, Cheapshot has been instrumental in providing
music for your favorite films, ads and TV shows since 2010.
Cheapshot began his career as a music producer with fellow beatsmith Vin Skully, chopping
rhythms and grooves for the LA based underground rap group Styles of Beyond. Developing a
gritty take on an evolving 90s Hip-Hop sound, they achieved both cult success on their debut
album 2000 Fold (1997) and mainstream notoriety through their collaborations with Mike
Shinoda’s (Linkin Park) side project, Fort Minor, on the billboard hit “Remember the Name”
(2005).
Following his success as a recording artist, Cheapshot adapted his skills for film and TV,
forming a collective of producers, sound engineers, and songwriters called The Math Club.
Calling on experience in turn-around quality, project management, and creative direction, The
Math Club has made music used by numerous brands, TV shows, and films, including Adidas,
Amazon, Euphoria, Empire, Shazam, Spider-Man: Into the Spider-Verse, and Crazy Rich Asians.
Through unrivaled expertise, tuned ears, and a sincere passion for their quality and craft,
Cheapshot and The Math Club continue to confidently lead the charge in creating custom,
compelling, moment defining music.
