I’m Bongani Ernest Zweni, but you might know me as DJ Couza. My musical journey began in 2015, and it has been an incredible ride filled with creativity, collaboration, and a deep passion for the art of sound. As a self-taught music producer and DJ, I have dedicated myself to honing my craft and expressing my unique voice through music.
One of the highlights of my career has been producing the track “I Like the Way,” featuring the legendary international star Harrison Crump from Chicago. This collaboration was not just a milestone; it was a moment that solidified my belief in the power of music to cross borders and connect cultures.
I've also had the honor of working with iconic artists like Bhudaza Mapefane, a celebrated Jazz legend from Lesotho. Our collaboration has yielded some truly remarkable projects, including a remix of the beloved song “Nonyana” by the late Tshepo Tshola. The response from fans has been overwhelming, and the demand for its release continues to grow, showcasing the timeless appeal of this classic track.
Recently, I’ve ventured into exciting new collaborations, one of which is with Koni from the USA and Idd Azziz from Kenya. Our latest release, “Wachanare,” encapsulates the essence of cultural fusion and musical innovation, and I can’t wait for everyone to experience it.
