DJ Istar

DJ Istar aka Daniel Bigler has been following the development of electronic dance music since his early teenage years. He was mainly interested in UKGarage,Detroit Techno and ChicagoHouse,but especially in Jungle.In the 90s he began his career under the moniker of DJ Istar with Drum'n'Bass sets at the renowned Wasserwerk club in Bern and was quickly booked for performances all over Switzerland.In addition to his residency in Wasserwerk club,he was regularly spinning at Rohstofflager and PalaisX-tra Zürich and opened for international acts such as DJ Hype or the RaggaTwins (UK).
He also performed several times at Streetparade and hosted a radio show at DJ Radio Zürich.

In 2016 DJ Istar founded his first label Starbrainrecords which was planned as an open label for good electronic music today it is a drum&bass label where he released under DJ Inspired. In 2017 DJ Istar founded his main label Sunrising Records which is dedicated to the whole spectrum of House where he releases many Disco House Afro House tracks as DJ Istar. Sunrising Records Underground is the sub label of Sunrising Records dedicated to Hip House and Jackin House. In 2024 DJ Istar also founded his third label E-Troit Records which is a techno label dedicated to Detroit and Fusion Techno and DJ Istar releases under the name Daniel Bigler
