DJ Souf is an American trap/hip-hop producer hailing from Savannah, Georgia. His sound is characterized by dark, weird, and melodic tones, coupled with trap-based drums that are heavily influenced by the death metal and hard rock genres, particularly in the use of powerful 808 drops. Currently residing in San Antonio, Texas, DJ Souf had his first breakthrough in 2013 when he featured Chicago superstar rapper G Herbo on his track "Nonsense."
Since then, he has collaborated with other notable artists, including CeoSonSon, THood, Octvne, Myles Preme, TrivoLaFyre, BlueBenjaminSleepy, Lightshow, and Reck442, among others. His music also incorporates an intriguing blend of the Atlanta Southern style, which he developed during his time living in the city before relocating.
In 2015, DJ Souf joined forces with TopShottaMarkShotta, a producer based in Baltimore, to form the production collective SoundKartel. Together, they are on a mission to establish themselves as a formidable force in the industry, blending their unique and diverse musical influences to create a distinctive sound.
