Nkululeko Mphephoka, famously known as Stopper, is a young and talented artist under DBN GOGO’s eponymous record label, Zikode. Stopper’s very first experience in the music scene was hosting an event at Junk Park. Full of determination, he would go back beke le beke to ask if he can DJ for them. Eventually, Mr. JazziQ’s father gave him a fresh start.
Through DBN GOGO’s photographer, Stopper was able to meet some industry giants such as the Major League DJz, which ultimately evolved his DJ career as well. His major industry highlights are hosting at Zone 6 to a massive crowd and working with an icon such as DBN GOGO. “She has truly taken me under her wing. I’ve learned so much from her,” he adds. Stopper’s dream collaborations include Davido, Wizkid, Black Coffee, Msaki, and Shasha.
What can we expect from Stopper? His EP drops sometime in July 2025, with notable features such as Nvcho, Focalistic, Baby SON, and Stixx. This body of work will epitomise everything that has happened so far in his life and career, which shows that he has been unstoppable through all adversity.
