The Low keys are a south African music Multi platinum selling production and performing Amapiano/house Duo, founded in 2017. The low keys Comprise of two founding members: lead singer and producer Mongezi Mashabela better known by his stage name “Big Zee” (21 august 1997), and Ofentse Gama (12 Nov 1997) better known by his stage name “Q unlimited” producer DJ.
The talented duo hail from Pretoria Mamelodi South Africa. Bigzee and QUnlimited are childhood friends, as they realised their love and talent for music production and performing, The two joined forces to form an alternative Amapiano/House Duo; called “The low keys”. The low keys have key role in mobilising the Amapiano movement in and around Pretoria.Collecting one fan at a time with their electrifying live performances and base beats. Producing some of the biggest Amapiano songs in the streets, moving the Pretoria founded music genre called “Amapiano” forward.
In 2019 the Low keys release their debut mainstream singles titled “Lerato and shaka ft DJ Sumbody which had already caught fire in the Pretoria and Johannesburg club
scene, affording them the opportunity to work with some of south africa’s biggest artists such as DJ fresh with song titled - Mela (ma-Africa), Major league dj'z feat. Focalistic & The lowkeys _shoota moghele,
DJ Sumbody -ashi nthwela,just to name a few.In 2021 The Duo reached platinum status on four of their singles titled (Gugu, stolen Goods, Iyamemeza featuring Dj Sumbody.
