A DJ, songwriter, and producer, DJ Young Music grew up around music and was exposed to DJ'ing through his grandfather, who took him to gigs around his native Washington, D.C. area. While a teenager, Young Music built his reputation through mixtapes and performances and landed gigs as <a href="spotify:artist:7r8RF1tN2A4CiGEplkp1oP">Ginuwine</a>'s DJ and as the opening act for <a href="spotify:artist:7r8RF1tN2A4CiGEplkp1oP">Ginuwine</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:08p7B5OtcUuVblvkQIlBhJ">Tyrese</a>, and <a href="spotify:artist:4mwXUEKaW4ftbncf9Hi58l">Tank</a>'s group <a href="spotify:artist:1lEXbUjKjHQ7uc9jFfEViJ">TGT</a>.
