Pop-oriented contemporary R&B group Rawyals features vocalists Bel Cabrera, Ariel Nicholson, and Asia Shabazz. Brought together by Kedar Massenburg, the industry veteran who previously played a major role in the emergence of <a href="spotify:artist:336vr2M3Va0FjyvB55lJEd">D'Angelo</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:7IfculRW2WXyzNQ8djX8WX">Erykah Badu</a>, the New York City-based group was signed to Massenburg Media label and debuted in May 2015 with "King Me." The midtempo single resembled an assertive mix of <a href="spotify:artist:6vWDO969PvNqNYHIOW5v0m">Beyoncé</a>, <a href="spotify:artist:2NdeV5rLm47xAvogXrYhJX">Ciara</a>, and unjustly neglected late-2000s group <a href="spotify:artist:6lu1azxkCc8fQMYIhyQn8J">Electrik Red</a>.
