DJ Zeal hails from the north coast in the garden parish of St.Ann Jamaica. Being born into a musical family his inclination to the arts was one that was quite natural. It began through playing the drums, then went on to doing 'dub poetry', that later on developed into singing, 'singjaying' and 'deejaying' (as called in Jamaica, or rapping in other countries).
In 2012 DJ Zeal won the Spiritual Injection Song competition which was aired on one of Jamaica's national Television station TVJ (Television Jamaica).
DJ Zeal has shared stages with the likes of Kierra Sheard, Bobby Jones, DJ Nicholas, Jermaine Edwards, Positive, Blessed Messenger, Rizon, Rondell Positive, to name a few. He has also worked with producers such as Adrian Scarlett, Rh'mone Foster, & Jay-Vis McIntosh. He has also performed at events such as, Praise On The Beach, Kingston Gospel Music Festival, Good Vibes (Trinidad and Tobago), Family Fest, and Passion and Purity, to name a few.
Some of the songs Zeal has done include: Smile, Darkness Before Dawning, I Can Trust You, Purpose, I Love You My Child, and Chase After You
The aim of Zeal is to ignite a flame in the hearts of people, for them to see life in a way that is different than they may normally view it. His hope is to spread the message of the love and life of Christ as part of His greater mission to be apart of God's Kingdom being established on the earth.
