Djinn is a space-ambient rock collaborative project between former <a href="spotify:artist:2jK54ZlZhTF1TxygsVeR05">Hawkwind</a> bassist <a href="spotify:artist:0FVHCCW9HheSzaxpIfC5nu">Alan Davey</a> and vocalist <a href="spotify:artist:4K5PQ4Euxa6pVNAQZ3u69w">Bridget Wishart</a>, who sang lead for <a href="spotify:artist:2jK54ZlZhTF1TxygsVeR05">Hawkwind</a> from 1989 to 1991. Employing a heady blend of ambient synths, driving beats, and Islamic traditional music, <a href="spotify:artist:0FVHCCW9HheSzaxpIfC5nu">Davey</a> and <a href="spotify:artist:4K5PQ4Euxa6pVNAQZ3u69w">Wishart</a> explore the concept -- and occasional glorification -- of the supernatural Middle Eastern creatures that serve as the project's namesake.
