Los Angeles rapper DMB Gotti continues the lineage of West Coast rap, flowing over uncluttered beats with a style that's laid-back but direct. Along with offering up several features on other artists' tracks, the rapper drummed up significant buzz for his witty, old-school-flavored 2019 single "Peter Piper."

Inspired by <a href="spotify:artist:55Aa2cqylxrFIXC767Z865">Lil Wayne</a>'s complex lyrical design as well as the thick funk of the West Coast rap he grew up surrounded by, DMB Gotti began releasing music in 2017. He offered up featured verses on songs like Johnny Rose's "Dirt Money" and Coldhearted AC's "Add AK" while he was working on singles of his own. He released tracks regularly, moving from spare bangers like 2018's "Toot That Shit Up" to more the more atmospheric "Growing Pains" and "Trick or Treat" in 2019. DMB Gotti released 7" singles in 2019; the straightforward and catchy "Peter Piper" attracted the most attention and was streamed over a million times. ~ Fred Thomas, Rovi
