Doc Native is a multi award-winning recording artist from Hollywood Florida. Born and raised on the Seminole Indian reservation, Doc Native has produced songs that showcase his unique style, his native heritage and love for his indigenous people.
On August 27th, 2017, along with his brother Spencer Battiest, took home the award for “Best Fight Against the System” at the 2017 MTV Video Music Awards. The Song/Video “Stand Up/Stand N Rock #NoDAPL” was a collaboration video spearheaded by International recording artist “Taboo” of the Grammy award-winning supergroup “The Black Eyed Peas”. The Video features the “Mag7” a group formed by Taboo made up of 7 Indigenous artists standing in solidarity with the Standing Rock Sioux Tribe for their fightagainst theDakotaAccessPipeline.
In 2019 he released his first EP entitled “DOC” followed by singles “Instagram”, “Buss Down”, and “Forever Mood” in 2020. In 2021 Doc Native and Spencer Battiest released the single "Dream" along with a music video. On November 4th, 2021 "Dream" was awarded "Best Music Video" from the American Indian Film Institute during the 46th annual American Indian Film Festival. That same month, Doc and Spencer headlined the NBA Clippers halftime show at the iconic Staples Center in Los Angeles.
In 2022, at the 20th Annual Native American Music Awards, Doc and Battiest were awarded 'Best Live Performance Video' for "The Storm Live from Home”.
