With their band The Doctorella, the sisters Kersty Grether and Sandra Grether combine tongue-in-cheek campy and poetic lyrics with (Dream-)Pop and New Wave music that incorporates elements of Chanson, Folk, Rock and Americana. What for? No less than to make new utopias and dreams tangible. While the group’s debut, "Drogen und Psychologen", was the rallying cry of the Occupy and Slut Walk movements, its follow-up, "Ich Will Alles Von Dir Wissen", dives just as radically deep into the lives of metropolitan bohemians to explore the potential of alternative lifestyles. Currently The Doctorella are working on their third Album: Together with Sascha Rohrberg (Bass, Guitar) and Daniel Benyamin (Drums). Kersty ( Vocals, Keys, Songwriting) and Sandra Grether ( Vocals, Guitar, Songwriting) are considered to be the pioneers of Pop-Feminism in Germany.
