Dödens Clowner was started by Johan Paulsson in 1996.
Original line-up:
Johan Paulsson – vocals / synthesizer/ guitar, Martin Persson – guitar / backing vocals, Per Söderström – bass, Gustav Lind – trombone / backing vocals, and Markel Månson – drums.
After a very successful 7-song demo and a few gigs, all band members went their separate ways.
In 2024 Johan found some partly-written songs he just had to finish. This restarted Dödens Clowner — now as a solo project, with the support of multi-instrumentalist and producer Richard Wainwright.
