Domenic Marte – Bachata-Pop Sensation
Domenic Marte, a Lawrence, MA native of Puerto Rican and Dominican descent, is a pioneer of the Bachata-Pop genre. His 2004 debut single “Ven Tú” became a global hit, reaching #7 on Billboard’s Tropical Airplay and surpassing 22M Spotify streams. His debut album Intimamente followed with hits like “Ella Se Llevó Mi Vida” and “La Quiero,” earning over 27M streams.
His sophomore album Deseos De Amarte earned a Premio Lo Nuestro nomination for “Eres Así” and several Top 10 Latin chart singles. In 2015, he made history with For the World, the first English-language Bachata album. His label, Direct Balance Records, released “Como Quisiera” (2016), a Billboard Tropical Airplay #1.
By 2023, For You Vol. 1 reached 162+ countries and passed 1.1M Spotify streams. He became the first U.S.-based Bachata-Pop artist to perform at Havana’s Casa De La Música. In 2024, the City of Lawrence, MA honored Domenic Marte with a certified street name and became the 1st Bachata Artist in the United States. The Key to the City (Oct 8, 2024).
With 52 charting songs, major festival stages, and MLB anthem appearances, Marte continues to lead the genre. He is managed by Eddie Rodriguez.
